Yes it is really nice book. One can assess oneself when one goes in 'adult' or 'child' mode. Many times we forget, there is a little complaining child rooted inside all of us.

But sometimes it is not what you have choosen deliderately and that makes you sad.

Sadness always has a reason, and if the reason isn't external then it can only be internal - our thoughts. Our thoughts create our emotions, and vice-versa. But we can only change our moods by changing our thoughts.

It sounds to me like you are looking for the answers to your sadness externally, when really the only way to be truly happy is to be dependent on ourselves alone. To be able to fulfill ones self. That's not to say that we should be hermits, but only a whole person is attractive to another. Who wants half a person? Only another half a person, and that way lies dependency rather than love.

The past - it is important not to be a slave to it, because it isn't ever going to go away. We cannot change what has happened to us. We can only change our reaction to what has happened to us.

I don't have an answer but I know what it is like to be inside the abyss, and I know that we all have to find our own way out. So I'm just saying to you the things I wish someone had said to me at that time. However, these may not be the things that are right for you to hear, and if so, please disregard them.

this was an excellent book, and would be worth your while to read it. it is not a scientific book, but a parable on the human condition in this world.

I enjoyed the film myself. It proves that science fiction need not necessarily be all about space, laser guns and aliens. I am a big sci-fi fan though and enjoy watching all of the aforementioned.

in the olden days when we couldn't think for ourselves due to lack of communication between the masses, the people who decided they were in charge of commerce and the spread of a free market, used to assign something tangable that represented quality and a sense of familiar trust within people, you could rely on anything that was made due to the simple fact not many companies made anything there competitors produced. Now in todays age, everything is available to the free consumerist society, and the previous idiom of association of label or brand is no longer quite so exclusive which brings us the question; if this is so, why is exclusivity placed upon certain material gains and what sense does it give that person?
